Gilan Qida Village in Gabala

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has reviewed Gilan Qida Village in Gabala.

The establishment of various factories in Gilan Qida Village can be considered an outstanding contribution to the development of competitive and high standard food industry. The execution of such projects shows that the President's instructions to ensure food security in the country are being successfully fulfilled.

The head of state was informed that two processing plants were built in Gilan Qida Village. The total construction area of the two facilities is 120,000 square metres. Two production lines were created in the potato processing facility. Semi-finished frozen potato and chips will be produced here. The semi-finished frozen potato production line has a production capacity of three tons per hour. The chips production line has the capacity of one ton per hour. Both production lines are fully automated.

Raw materials are stored in a cooling warehouse, which occupies a total area of 6,000 square metres. There are also quality control labs in the complex. Physical and chemical qualities of products are examined here.

The head of state reviewed an exhibition of products at the complex.

It was noted that the products manufactured at the facilities of Gilan Qida Village are exported to a number of countries.

President Ilham Aliyev was informed that the soft drink production facility will manufacture 48 types of products in three lines.

The first line of the facility will produce bottled juice and ice tea through a hot filling system with the capacity of 10,000 litres per hour. The second line, with the capacity of 36,000 litres per hour, will manufacture lemonade and other soft drinks, sparkling and still water. The third line will produce sparkling and still water and soft drinks. It has the production capacity of 5,000 litres per hour. All compositions are tested in the lab before being produced. The production process is fully automated in the complex.

The facilities created 380 permanent jobs.
